Q: I have an engineering or architecture background.  Am I eligible to apply for the Master of Science in Construction Management?

A: Yes, our graduate students come from various professional backgrounds.  Your application will be reviewed thoroughly by our Graduate Instruction Committee to determine whether or not you are a good fit to our program.

Q: Does the Master of Science in Construction Management qualify as a STEM program?

A: No, not at this time; however, we have requested to have the Master of Science in Construction Management re-classified as a STEM program.  We hope to have a response by the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester.

Q: Does the Master of Science in Construction Management program offer online or other distance education classes?

A: No, not at this time. Our program is a residence-based program in which students are required to take on-campus classes.  However, we are investigating distance education formats for the program and we will provide an update in the near future.

Q: What is the estimated cost of attendance for the Master of Science in Construction Management? How does it compare to other construction management programs in the country?

A: The estimated costs are updated each year based on various economic factors. For the most recent data, please refer to the Student Business Services office. Our program costs are very competitive with other construction management programs in the country.  We encourage you to do this comparison on your own.

Q: Is the Master of Science in Construction Management accredited?

A: Yes, it is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), which is the body that accredits construction management programs. Accreditation is a process of validation in which colleges, universities and other institutions of higher learning are evaluated. The standards for accreditation are set by a peer-review board whose members include faculty from various accredited colleges and universities. This means that our program is held to the highest standards. Our Master of Science in Construction Management is one of only five graduate programs accredited by ACCE.
