Funding and Scholarships
- The Department of Construction Science awarded over $400,000 in scholarships to its undergraduate and graduate students last year. The Department of Construction Science has a limited number of graduate program scholarships that qualifies the student for in-state tuition. Additional opportunities exist for appointments as Graduate Assistant-Research (GAR), Graduate Assistant-Teaching (GAT), and Graduate Assistant-Non-Teaching (GANT). These assistantship positions are very competitive and each qualifies the student for in-state tuition. Occasionally, the Department of Construction Science is offered scholarship and fellowship funds from other sources, such as the College of Architecture or Texas A&M University. Applicants must have submitted their complete application package by the first week of January to be considered for these opportunities.
Deadline for Application
- Most students are admitted for the fall semester of each academic year; however, in some cases, we may be able to admit new students in the spring semester.
- All application materials should be submitted by March 1 for admission in the fall; however, in order to be considered for all available scholarships and fellowships, all application materials must be submitted by January 8.
- A Texas A&M Universal Identification Number (UIN) is required to submit the application. It may take up to 3 days to receive a UIN, so begin the process as soon as possible in order to meet the required deadlines.
- Applications received after March 1 will be considered only if there are available vacancies for new students; thus, those applications may not receive full consideration.
- Incomplete applications will not be reviewed or considered for admission.
