What is Construction Science?

Construction science combines aspects of business, project planning, and construction management into one degree.

Construction science graduates quickly become valued members of construction teams. They help build complete, high-quality facilities in a timely, safe and quality manner. They confidently interact with professional engineers, registered architects, and owners to solve problems that may arise.

About the Construction Science Program

Our accredited four-year program prepares students to enter the construction industry in various positions. Graduates become project engineers, site superintendents, estimators, and project managers. Industry feedback consistently indicates that our graduates are well prepared to face today's industry challenges.

The construction science program's interdisciplinary curriculum prepares students to become industry leaders. Our program teaches industry topics including:

All construction science students must complete an industry internship. Students apply their formal education and gain valuable work experience through this requirement. The Department of Construction Science partners with the Construction Industry Advisory Council to stay current and meet industry needs.
